My aim as a coach has always been to support my athletes' growth both inside and outside the gym to the best of my abilities. After delving into various professions, I'm excited to introduce the Individualized Tumbling Session (I.T.S.), a program that offers a unique blend of features not typically found in traditional private lessons.
One of the key components of I.T.S. is video replay. During each session, I'll capture highlights and upload them to a shared Google Drive accessible to both parents and athletes. This video playback serves as a valuable resource for reviewing drills, corrections, at-home skill builders, and skills covered during the session. It acts as a "skills diary," allowing athletes to track their progress over time and celebrate their growth.
Additionally, I've incorporated lesson planning techniques borrowed from teachers into the program. Each session comes with a customized lesson plan designed to foster a deep understanding of skills. This approach helps athletes not only learn how to perform a skill but also comprehend its underlying mechanics, facilitating skill transfer and fostering exponential growth.
Individualized Tumbling Sessions also feature specialized at-home skill builders tailored to each athlete's goals and available equipment at home. By utilizing resources ranging from basic household items to specialized tumbling equipment, athletes can maximize their practice and accelerate their progress.
Furthermore, I'm thrilled to provide personalized session notes detailing the focus of each lesson, upcoming events, goals, and more. These notes are saved and revisited to identify patterns, address challenges, and keep athletes and myself aligned on their journey toward achieving greatness.
